I love video and am very comfortable shooting and editing (I have to find an application for that Broadcast & Cinematic Arts background, right?) Here’s a quick peek around some of my more recent work.

Bronco Athletic Fund Explained

(Check out my animations)
Here’s a descriptive video I storyboarded, scripted, animated, and voice-overed. This was a beast, and I’m really proud of it.

Giving Day 2022 Launch

The video that launched the most successful Giving Day in WMU’s history. We didn’t have any new b-roll, so I relied heavily on deconstructing stills.

Here’s a descriptive video I scripted, storyboarded, and voice-overed.

Stoatin Brae Opening Videos

As one of 9 new golf courses opening in North America in 2017, I wanted to make a video to demonstrate the quality of the golf product. Compare these two videos if you have a minute. The “Introducing Stoatin Brae” was targeted for the serious golfer looking for an epic round. The “Stoatin Brae is Open” video was created for a core audience that knows Stoatin Brae is a serious golf product, but that Gull Lake View doesn’t take themselves too seriously.

2018 Golf Show Video

(Check out my animations)
This is my newest video, showcasing the whole Gull Lake View Resort for the 2018 winter golf shows. This is the most work I’ve done in After Effects, so it was fun to add the camera tracking and animated titles. Most of the footage came from the Hole of the Week project (listed below).

2018 Real Estate Lifestyle Video

This video was created to promote the regional lifestyle for the Real Estate campaign. Almost none of the video was mine, so trying to edit other people’s footage into a compelling story proved to be difficult. The goal is to use this video temporarily, then make edits once the weather improves enough to get out an shoot. This being said, I think it’s a pretty compelling story (and I really like the way it wraps up at the end).

Hole of the Week Project

Working with the six largest golf course in the world (that no one has heard of) poses some logistical challenges, so I launched the Hole of the Week project to help reinforce the brand and continually remind the viewer that Gull Lake View has 108 holes across six courses. Along the way, we also worked to give things away and have as much fun as possible. I initially put together a budget and pitched the idea of purchasing some higher-end cameras and drones, but that was quickly denied, so I decided just to make the project feel like a “couple millenials with iPhones trying to be youtube stars.” Ultimately, the simple tech worked in my favor — I was able to storyboard, shoot, and edit pretty quickly, and I made 25 episodes (1 per week) during the 2017 season.

Charles & Darl’s opening

A quick tease to help hype the Charles & Darl’s opening.

Vintage Pretty Lake Camp

Pretty Lake Camp was celebrating their 100th year of service in 2016, so I put together several videos to highlight some of the camp’s history. Here are a couple:

World Run Day Trail Run Videos

My real point of pride with Pretty Lake’s Trail Run videos is that I shot all the footage and had the videos up within 2 hours of the event’s close each year. I’m also pretty happy with my DIY steady cam work — check out those smooth runs I take down the trail.

Adventure Centre Facilitation

Working to build the Adventure Centre’s brand, I would pull out my phone and shoot footage while facilitating certain groups. It was also a great souvenir of their experience.
